About
Laurene Hummer, Founder
As a working mom, I never felt fashionable. Mornings were a rush—one kid needed breakfast, another needed shoes—while I threw on whatever made me feel somewhat put-together. I wanted to feel confident and for my style to reflect who I was but had no time to build and curate my own wardrobe. And keeping up with trends? Impossible. I didn’t need to be trendy, just not completely out of the loop.

Shopping felt just as frustrating. I cared about sustainability but struggled to sort through brands’ eco-friendly claims. Every purchase came with doubt—was I really making a better choice? I tried styling services and clothing subscriptions but couldn’t find a solution to help me find my style or shop sustainably —so I built the Climate Capsule.

I'm an engineer turned product manager turned business development leader for climate focused startups. I live in the Northeast US with my husband, 3 children, and cat. I'm an avid runner and rock climber. Meditation keeps me grounded, and water color painting feeds my creative side.
